Convince me Rodgers isnt the right pick. I just dont get why QBs are so undervalued. I get it that there are 15 or so quality fantasy QBs but the top three if healthy are money and consistent. I had Brady last yr and he killed my team. The top 3 will throw 35 TDs at worst , whereas the others are 25 at worst. Thats 60 points.

Best convincing i can do, Rodgers has his best RB, he has never had a RB this good before... Will the packers be able to allow both Lacy and Rodgers to be top 5 at their position??? If not who wont be??

In a 10 team league all the top 10 QBs are very good... and many dont have as good of a running game, while others have RBs who are superior Receivers...

I think Matt Ryan in the 6th or 7th round is your best option at QB...

60 points in 16 weeks, not even 4 pts a week. A better than average kicker can get you that advantage back.
But seriously, in a ten team league, theoretically, you're worst case scenario is the 10th best QB.. we're talking Romo, Rivers, guys like that. Kaeps, Wilson, those guys are backups, you can afford to wait without a huge drop off. Remember Thera really only three teams that will have a decided advantage at QB over you if you wait, but by taking Dez and Thomas, you have a decided advantage at TWO starting positions over EVERY team, more or less.

You only need ONE quarterback. You need five RB/WR. By waiting on QB, you can get elite players st said position...and the drop off from the skill positions are much more extreme.

Having four of the top 30 RB/WR is a huge difference than having three...because picks 50 and 51 will have to be your starters and they just aren't consistent enough. Whereas you can get the Matt Ryans or Tony Romos there instead...and you can trust them every week.

That being said, you can also win by taking Rodgers and Gronk there. It's all relative, you still need to hit the mid round picks..it's just you're in a hole to start, so any misses and you're doomed. Left with Danny Woodhead as your RB1.

I agree with this, however at 30 31- If I go with the 2 WRs - what do you think of Cobb and Thomas/ Gronk. Of course Cobb would be my flex. Then at 50 51- RBs .

Very true but if Im strong at QB1 , WR1, WR2, TE, FLEX , and defense- I think I can live with CJ2K, Jennings, or Sankey/ T. Richardson . at 50 51. Of course I would then have to take Seattle at 71. . I just hate this draft slot

Man, don't take a DST!!!! There are so many. So many. Seattle are not the same as last year and their schedule out of the gate is tough. KC and CAR were both UNDRAFTED last year and both finished top five! Do not draft a DST at 71!!!!

And if you're strong at QB and TE there's no way in hello that you're strong at WR2 and Flex.

You think Rodgers goes top 10 ? Then I would go Brees if I was picking QB. Cobb is starting to go before 30 about 50 percent in my mocks. Gronk or Thomas is there 90 percent of the time. Wonder if Luck lasts to 70?

I just think wr depth is more important than having a solid QB. If you have two superstar Wrs, you have an advantage at wr every week it seems. If you have two Wrs that will get you points every week, you have a big advantage over teams that have the all or nothing Wrs because they waited to draft them. With QB, you can get points every week from guys later on in the draft. I think getting a consistently above average QB and two Wrs who will never give you goose eggs is better than having Aaron Rodgers and 1 top WR.

I also don't like Rodgers in fantasy this year because of his terrible Oline. Out of the sure thing top 3 QBs, I think Rodgers is the riskiest. He has a plethora of weapons, but so does Brees and manning. However, Brees and Manning have very solid Olines and don't hold onto the ball too long on as many plays as Rodgers does. He will probably put up great stats when he plays, but I think he's a huge injury risk.

no..you said..

I'm saying your not getting all four..easily can get two, maybe three, if you get all four, your playing with 9 children

But even if you get all 4 of those guys you will be really weak at RB.

Two names have not come up in this thread, but should be:

Ball and Bernard.

If I were you, I would not consider Rogers for all the reasons mentioned above. You can get Romo in the 10th round and be within 3 points a week of what Rodgers does. I would not go WR/WR here unless all 3 of those RBs are gone (they won't be).

Taking Dez or Thomas with any of those RBs would be outstanding. Perhaps even better though would be to take Ball and Murray or Ball and Bernard. Either way, if Ball is available, he should be on your team.

Because how thin RB is this year again, I would go with Demarco and D. Thomas. I tried to wait on RB in our MBBRL league and ended up with Sankey and Tate for my starters in rounds 4 & 5. If I had it to do over I would grab a RB earlier, even though I am stacked at receiver.
