Nola vs Alcantara. Time for Bruce to start hitting bombs. It's gonna be tough for him to get to 40 with this shortened season.

I honestly think it would have been hard for Bruce to ever hit 40 home runs for the Phillies in 2019/2020/2021 just because of the likelihood of injuries and the fact that most managers won’t start him in the outfield every day because of his defense. But I do agree that if we given a chance to play 140 games a year and stayed healthy, he could hit 40 bombs.

The DH this year could actually really help him. I saw an article the other day where Bruce enthusiastically endorsed the NL adopting the DH. I filed that one into my “No shit, Sherlock” file.

The Phillies have been drafting DHs for years. I guess they were waiting for a pandemic. Bring back Piece!

Former Phillies around the league-- Fraudco 0-2 with 2 Ks in his Royals debut. And Korean Baseball League star Darin Ruf did for the Giants what he did for the Phillies. Sat on the bench. I guess 86 bombs in 3 seasons doesn't count for much any more. But hey, the Giants are loaded with stars. They had to make sure Wilmer Flores was in the lineup.....
