Phillies Cards Gamethread--Sunday.

Morgan VS Wacha. Cards are heavy favorites. Morgan may last 5 innings. If he can keep the walks down
it won't be so bad. The days of Roy and Cliff are gone. Hamels will be next to go. It will be a long time before we have a solid starting rotation. The effects from a lousy GM are going to cause more years of losing. But at least we have Franco and Giles!

Morgan gets through the 1st two innings. The Question is what will happen when he starts facing batters the 2nd time around. I am hoping for the best but reality has a way of settling in with the Philies.

Back-to-back doubles by Dumb Brown and Asche and we score Brown. 1-0 Phils. Rupp gets a single and Asche is at third in the bottom of the second.

Rupp and Asche are really hitting consistently. That's three hits-in-a-row and we haven't seen that in many a moon.

Nice bunt by Galvis and then Asche or somebody screwed it up by getting tagged at home.

Wacha walks Revere and we have the bases juiced. I wish the dildoes would just get somebody home instead of stranding three.

Finally. Hernandez sends a base hit into the outfield and two score. The youngsters are beginning to hit consistently.

Rupp and Asche are really hitting consistently. That's three hits-in-a-row and we haven't seen that in many a moon.

Rupp is especially doing good despite on-off appearances in the lineup. I only wish his power would show up.

This sporadic appearances by Rupp is going to get him sent down by braindead like they did to Ruf. I always liked Rupp and they should continue to play Rupp to develop his power. He is built just like Greg Luzinzski and the only way he is going to reach his full potential is to sit Ruiz and play Rupp.

Morgan was doing fine until he just served up a homer to Peralta. Phils up 3-1.

Morgan has 5Ks. He was a third-round pick in 2011. Seasoning has kept away for 4 freakin years. This guy is playing pretty well.

Hernandez is playing well at second as Utley takes the day off. Hernandez would be a good example of somebody to insert at second if Utley were to be moved which is not going to happen.

That wasn't a good plate appearance by Rupp. The dude is hitting .263 and has an OBP of .329. They should play this guy more than alternating daily with Ruiz.
