Anyway, I can't wait until we have the Yu-Harrison-Perez-Lewis rotation back and either Ross or Scheppers is able to help out the bullpen again.

Also, what is wrong with Ogando? He doesn't even resemble his former self. He had a bad spring and he's letting it carry over into the season. He just hasn't looked right since he pulled his hamstring running to 1st against the Giants.

Will be interesting to see which of the 2 has the better audition in the rotation, Scheppers is already in a pretty big hole, but who will be the one to ultimately make it long term will be interesting, as Scheppers has the more traditional frame, while Ross is a bit on the slight side,

I think that gives Scheppers a permanent advantage, right or wrong... but I'm all for the better pitcher being in the rotation

There's a major difference between letting a hot bat from spring training fill out 1 of the 9 lineup slots over a guy who struggles against lefties and letting a hot relief pitcher make his starting pitching debut on Opening Day. I wouldn't expect you to understand that though.

I see very few people freaking out here. What I do see is a bunch of people calling out Wash on obvious blunders and you crawling out from under your rock to defend him like always.

I could give two shits less about who manages this team, but if I was going to waste my time bitching about it then I'd put the blame where it belongs. And that would be on the guy who hired him and keeps him in his position. By the way, shit for brains, the under the rock comment was uncalled for.

Yeah, to me Ogando taking forever to record his first out might have been the most troubling thing for me. We really need him to be good out of the pen right now.

I'm really going for Ross, I hope he surprises us all and seals himself a role in the rotation. Even as much as we need him in the pen, I really think he has the pose to make an impact at SP. Regardless though, it will be great to get Yu, Harry, and Lewis back. Though I think Harry and Lewis will have some kinks to work out at the first 3 or 4 starts-maybe more. Still much better to having them progressing than having guys out there like Saunders and whoever that guy our current 5 starter is.

Luckily we have some easy cannon fodder in Saunders and Martinez before making a decision between Scheppers or Ross when Harrison returns

One, I'm a hell of a lot smarter than you. A LOT smarter.

Two, the "under your rock" comment was absolutely called for, because that is EXACTLY what you do. You crawl out from underneath your miserable existence only long enough to leave snarky comments and start arguments with your same tired old shtick. You never take part in any in-game threads as the games are happening, nor do you EVER make any kind of positive contribution to this board. Your only comments on here are arguments against others. You don't talk about the team or the game in general in a positive manner. I have never once seen you here after a win. I have never once seen you post something positive at all. You called Romeo a racist for absolutely no reason and you provoke fights with just about everyone else. Nobody here likes you. At all. Your whole reason for being here is just to make everyone else's life as miserable as yours.

I get along really well with 99% of the people here. 99% of the people here can't stand you and for good reason. I've got "shit for brains", yet you can't take the hint that no one wants you here.

Yeah, I can see Saunders becoming the long guy at some point which still isn't to thrilling... to be honest, I know nothing about Martinez... maybe he will surprise us but I am not going to count on it at all. I'm betting he only sees this one start.

Yeah based solely on his lack of experience above AA, even Tepesch had put in more time than that

He's probably back down after Darvish or Lewis is ready, I'm guessing darvish is ready first but it'll be close

Real decision time comes when Harrison is "ready" to come back, hopefully he's finally ready to contribute

I would agree with this. I still think Scheppers should have the advantage as he's got the better stuff of the two. It's awfully unfair to judge him on today's performance because I think he was thrust into a high intensity situation right out of the gate. I wasn't surprised he had trouble with location. I think he will be better going forward. I'd like to see how he adjusts and performs in lower stress starts going forward.

That is a pretty good defense for starting Shepp on opening day using the same logic but I would say on opening day, you really would like to send a guy out there that has at least started a MLB game before and had some experience. That is an awful lot of pressure for a kids first start. Personally, I think there is a lot more pressure on a pitcher making his first start than a position player making his. I mean giving up a ton of runs hurts a lot more one guy going 0-5 with an error or something. Still, you do have to credit Shepp, he had a great spring and I look for him to look much sharper the next go around.

It's early and the pitching is anybody's guess right now. The whole team, including Choice, is guesswork right now and if Perez is supposed to be our top dog then it probably won't get much better. Just based on what I've seen so far and taking into account all of the injuries, this looks like a third or fourth place team to me, but it could be dramatically different (better) by the middle of June.

That's a very pessimistic approach. We have injuries, but oakland's lost colon and 2 other pitchers from their rotation. We're getting guys back soon. Seattle doesn't have 2 of their pitchers and felix is throwing considerably slower (and looked extremely effectively wild today). Weaver is literally throwing in the middle 80's. We have a ton of problems, but so does everyone. And our pitching problems are gonna be pretty much over by the start of May, most probably.

wtf are you smoking? I was replying to WMW with what I thought was a fair question. You took it on yourself to chime in where your bs wasn't needed. If you don't like me fine. Skip over my posts. I don't care. Frankly, I've never liked you either or the long winded boring bs you post which I generally skip over without comment.
