"The issue came to the other side where rushes off Adam Snyder’s outside shoulder at right guard went precisely nowhere. The 49ers averaged a miniscule 2.8 yards per carry there, just topping 100 yards for the full season. Chilo Rachal failed to deliver on his promise from 2010, but the loss of Adam Snyder to Arizona is addition by subtraction for the 49ers. For an offense built around the running game, the 49ers could do with being more efficient."
Not real surprising to anyone who paid attention to 49er games last season and another reason to believe the offense should improve this season.
the offense should certainly improve for many OTHER reasons, but we haven't filled RG yet? what if Kilgore gets the job, do we know he's better than Snyder?
Random observation that kind of fits into this thread. I was looking at Kilgore's combine results to see what his size is, and apparently (according to footballsfuture, so perhaps not the most reliable) Kilgore and Person had the two shortest arms for OTs in the draft. Granted among guards they would have had some company.
T-Rex did pretty well with short arms. Up until that extinction comet at least...
ya but you can't bite pass rushers
