So Peter King sat down with Manning and Elway recently and came out with an article titled something like "6 things you didn't know about Peyton Manning." Here are the 6 things...

1) Peyton since his surgery back in 2011 hasn't had feeling in the fingertips of his right hand. Doctor doesn't think he will ever regain feeling in them.

2) He traces the fall of his season last year to getting some sickness from his daughter before the San Diego game. He spent the entire night before the game throwing up and was completely dehydrated. He then took a wrong step to his right and something in his right thigh went bad and just never got right the rest of the year. Because of that he has changed up his diet for this year and also started his off season training much earlier than in the past to prepare for this season.

3) John Elway hated having to ask Peyton for a pay cut this year. Being a part of the QB fraternity it was one of the harder things to do then to go ask another QB of Peyton's stature to take a pay cut. One of the few times I have really read that the business side of things was very difficult for Elway.

4) Before taking the pay cut Manning went and spoke with Derek Jeter since he had a similar situation at the end of his career.

5) The OL might not be as set as we think. The Broncos still have some major concerns about the unit they have formed and there is a chance that the Broncos are going to actually do some trading or looking on the waiver wire before the season starts. Good chance that the guys we have on this team right now that somebody not on this roster takes one of the 53 spots.

6) The Broncos will likely do the Romo thing this year of giving Manning every Wednesday off during the season.

Now my thoughts on these is actually many of these are ones I already knew. I knew feeling in his fingers was iffy at best. It is why the glove was something he was willing to try. We also knew that he got sick and something happened to his thigh during the Chargers game. I think we also know that the OL has been the biggest question mark of the season. I still think though that they like the starters they have right now as they have shown more than I think most thought they would up to this point. I could see them going out and getting somebody to take one of the back up roles especially on the Guard/Center area of the team.

I wouldn't mind Beadles. He definitely seems like a better fit in this defense than the one that we were running when he was here. My only thing is his contract. i can't see us trading for him because of the money as no way we are paying him to be a back up at that type of money. If he gets cut though I'm pretty sure he would clear waivers so definitely a guy if that happens that we could go after.

My biggest thing for this OL is I just don't know that I trust any of our back ups. I actually like the starters that we have. Ryan Harris is not my favorite choice but I think he can do decent at RT. The Back ups though across the board are just terrible. I wouldn't mind having a Beadles type player as a back up knowing they have decent starting experience in the NFL and can come in without our OL suffering too big of a blow.

Is his daughter really old enough to have made him sick all those times he failed to beat the Gators, or when he threw the pick 6 to Tracy Porter in the SB, or when he crawled into a shell in both overtimes vs the Ravens, or laid an egg vs the 'Hawks ?

Well, in Manning's defense the whole offense seemed to lay an egg. That debacle was a team effort.

You mean John Elway sold the idea to Peyton Manning that it was really hard to ask him for a paycut? The hard part is figuring out what they did with the money. :)

Beadles would be a starter and they can make him fit is easy with the pay scale ..you just add years and back load a little or bigger bones with low pay this year ... I like what I am seeing but no Screens ..so IMO that might be the problem ..not sure yet I like to here what greg thinks on this ..dang your hide greg ????????????????

Interesting thought on bringing back the Beadles, but is JAX is likely to deal him? If so, why?

No, Jax won't deal him. Crash has some weird fetish with Beadles, and won't let it go. Stalkerish.

I know, don't mind me . . . I'm still warming up to the idea of him being the Bronco QB

If it is any consolation, SpringStein has a permanent handprint on his forehead from my posts over at KFFL

So I guess that bad leg was not the factor they claimed it was? Cause I am not reading anything about that issue in the article. Unless I skimmed by it and did not see it.

When that came out, I felt it was him getting out of the pro bowl that he was determined not to play in.
