Peters predicts 2 1000 yard rushers!

Jason Peters predicts that both DeMarco Murray, and Ryan Matthews will have over 1000 yards each; and Darren Sproles will get over 600 yards. That sounds preposterous, however, 2 years ago, I think, we had almost 2600 yards, so this is very doable. That is a real good goal. I like what we saw last week in the short time Matthews ran the ball. Let's see how well we do tonight.

I doubt Sproles gets 600 if both Murray and Matthews get over 1000, but if health isn't an issue, I can absolutely see both guys hitting 1000. I think Chip is going to run the hell out of the it this year and use Bradford as more of a game manager (which prevents him from taking too many shots).

It's possible but I doubt it. I think some of these guys will get hurt and miss games. I seriously doubt both Murray and Mathews play 16. But the good news is that between the two of them, and Sproles and Barner, we should have plenty of capable backs to catch passes and run it.

I think its gonna happen as well. Both are very capable, Chip is gonna run the ball & it seems like he would prefer to rotate skill players more than he did with vets he inherited (Jack, McCoy & Maclin).

Sproles will probably be relegated to more of a pass catcher this year. Dont see very many carries for him unless there are major injuries. I wouldnt expect him to get more than 2 or 3 a game. But I could see 60+ catches.

E-Nut - really that you? Sarcasm, right? I really do think Murray and Matthews can get 1000 a piece, and that helps protect Bradford from getting killed. Watch how well the play-action works this year.

Wouldn't surprise me. Big holes opening up against the Ravens first team D and we've got 3 good backs and a coach that wants to run the football. Add in some big play WRs and a kick ass special teams and we should be up on teams early in a bunch of games.
