The Pens have been able to win playoff-like games. Which is good. This game and last weren't their best performances, but they do what it takes to get the W. I also like that they're winning in regulation with regularity (hah...). Past years they've gotten a lot of points from the SO. I think they've been in, what, 2 SO? 3?

Man, I don't know if other sports are like hockey, but I've watched a decent amount of college basketball and NFL, and this is the only sport to me where the luck is just all there for teams playing well and every bounce goes bad when you're playing shitty. I'm sure there's an element of confirmation bias in there, but as a rule, it really is true. Great to get the win. We're gonna have to play better Sunday. But great win and great games by Vokoun and Sutter. Can't wait to see Sutter in the playoffs. Correct me if I'm wrong, but he has never been in a playoff game, correct?

The sneaky part of this streak: Vokoun is 5-0 in it. Man that's big. Him playing well is huge. I never heard what it was he said in the lockerroom in Philly, but dang I'm glad he said it.
