I thought the Pens controlled most of the game. Fleury let in a big softie early and one hit Letang and went directly in, a very bad break.

Dude it happens! Look at our series, but you have to give the Habs a ton of credit for the way they played in the third. Also Crosby was horrible, And if you know me this is not critisism because I like Crosby's game! He was just very sloppy tonight, hey it happens .

Luckily the Habs won, we would have never heard the end of how rigged it was otherwise. Too many soft goals cost the Pens tonight. Oh well, need to focus on game 5 now.

Well call me biased but I didn't like the two Habs penalties in the 3rd compared with what was let go by the Pens earlier. And I didn't like the ignored trip by Goligowski late in the game either.

Luckily the Habs outplayed the Pens in the 3rd and the calls or lack there of did not hurt.

I don't care who wins, I just want to see good hockey. But I'm sorry those 2 trips were so obvious! Come on.

I hate to chime in so late, but I did think that both Pittsburgh goals were scored less than 10 seconds after penalties should have been called on Pittsburgh. But what can you do. (I also should point out that a penalty could have been called on Montreal right before their third goal as well). Montreal battled back and got the win anyway. Halak is amazing. I wonder just how far Montreal will be able to ride him. I mean if they take out Washington and Pittsburgh in one playoff year. Wow...

Still a lot of work to do though.

Refs only have 2 eyes and with millions of people watching on tv, yes they are going to miss calls. On top of that, they are pretty good at "Letting them play" and both sides, in any game, get away with more in the playoffs. I just think people ruin it for themselves by concentrating on this rather than all the other reasons teams could win or lose.

Jesus Christ. Like 75% of this thread is bitching about the refs. I have no idea how some people even enjoy this sport. I just look at it as some calls are going to go my team's way and some aren't - how well you're playing usually dictates that. I'm going to my little cousin's communion tomorrow, and I expect there will be less whining with the 20+ children there than there is in this thread.

Now, I'm going to say something that's actually about the series and not about a penalty if that's okay.

Pens: five goals in three games. Give Halak a lot of credit, but their offense is simply underachieving. Fleury let in a soft one yesterday, but they had a chance to win that game and they blew it.
