Pens game

gah i can't stand pens fans that just assume every goal is the goalie's fault.

I'm not a Pens fan of course, but 4 goals in 12 shots should not happen, no matter how the D is playing.
interestingly enough, the Pens have not allowed a shot on goal in about 10 minutes.
that's one way to take care of it.

No, I agree that he's playing poorly, but it's the fact that fans have blamed every single goal on him. The first goal is scored: OMMMMMMGGGG GET HIM THE EFFF OUTTT! *rational thought: it was a deflection 6 inches in front of Fleury* That's my point. They just yell for the guy's head regardless of whether or not it was a "soft" goal.

some terrific saves by Gustavsson in the last minute or so.

I'm so freaking ticked off right now. I've been able to watch 3 of the 4 games. You can go ahead and take a gander at which. A team this loaded can't be losing like this. I know it's early, and I know there are injuries, but plain and simple, Fleury and the D need to step it up. That including the defensive play of our offense. They were incredibly sloppy tonight. That and the PP still needs work. 1-3 tonight, but that one goal came on the back to back PP, so there was obviously some tired legs on D. Just...very angry.

That is fine when it applies, but my comment was after they scored #4. Make your point when it is relevant instead of directing it at me after the gives up his 4th in 30 mins of play.

So we get thoroughly outplayed in the first period but somehow escape with a lead, thoroughly outplay them in the third but can't buy a goal. Our whole team was ridiculously sloppy with turnovers. Geno performes the worst penalty shot I've ever seen and decides to dump and chase with six seconds to go. Tangradi has the tying goal on his stick and his hands turn to stone, thought he was supposed to be the top six answer? Fleury still gives up insane rebounds right to the slot, surprisingly they didn't lead to a goal but he let in enough anyway...

And Gogo is now playing the slot on our powerplay?

Don't take it personally, I was referring to the chat going on at the feed I was watching. It's a feed that's obviously occupied by puck bunnies and people who know very little about hockey. No one here was out of line or anything.

They've turned down the temperature inside the Saddledome in order to improve the ice conditions. It looks like it is working so far (puck doesn't seem to be bouncing as much).
