I got tired of complaining about Orpik...

I mean, I DID spend the entirety of last season complaining, but the second you take him off PaulMart's pair he's exposed again. The Pens trade deadline list better include a stay home guy who can remove someone from the front of the net (and not into their own goalie).

I mentioned this on twitter, but I'm dropping it in here too: trading Letang needs to be considered (depending on the return).

JayBo is having a pretty good season (and he only has one year left on his contract).

I think Orpik should be on the block. I don't care what we get, just make cap room for someone who isn't a waste of space.

You see, when a Flyers fan agrees I take it as a negative, hahaha. He's dangerous, talented, etc. HOWEVER, for as insanely overvalued as offensive Dmen are in this league, the return could be huge and worth while. That and he'll be due for a pay increase that'll make my hair curl (except...my hair is curly, soooo...).

I think Letang is integral to the core. I like Despres and Niskanen, Martin's having a great year, but I think Orpik and Engelland need to be replaced by pure positional defenders.

He may be overvalued too. The only issue is there'd HAVE to be a parallel move to get a physical presence on D.

PJ Stock just made me wanna punch something (ironic). Talking about concussion rates and how they're NOT up and PJ says "And fighting IS up this year, so clearly they're not related." AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Unless you and I have different definitions of number 1 defensemen, I would not suggest trading him (If I was a Penguins fan.) (Unless I really need to pay Letang more attention)

He's good, but he gets the attention he does for his offensive numbers. Honestly he needs a reliable partner more than anything (aka NOT FREAKING ORPIK), but think about what the return on Letang could be. Seriously...it could be HUGE. And I'm not throwing this out there because he's playing badly tonight, been thinking of it for awhile. It may be a move down the road when our prospects start blooming...which I hope is soon. We have so freaking many.

Not sure why they called those penalties...Glass whiffed on the puck, shocking.

Neither of those penalties should have been called.

Wow, I must give the Habs credit for this comeback.

I haven't watched very many Pens games this season, but I can't remember them being this sloppy in their own zone. Credit to the Habs for pushing back hard as well, though.

It would be a pretty smart move for the Penguins to pull off, if the Penguins expect Morrow, Maatta, Pouliot, or Depres to develop into a #1 dman. And while I am jelly of that awesome defensive prospect depth, I'm not sure any really project to be #1s. So unless you're flipping Letang for a #1, I'd be a skeptical Penguins fan.

But as a Flyers fan, do it
