Yes they do. Unless you suck. When I went to the net, I just got crosschecked to a fine pulp, and then ended up getting back late on defense...

In case you were wondering, I suck. =)

From your previous posts, I think you're a rugby player on skates...Nothing wrong with that :D

Yes I am. Because I can't skate. I'm awesome in front of the net because no one can move me. But I can't move me, either, so I'm kind of useless everywhere else. But I can hit given the opportunity.

Big save by Fleury. Other than a two- or three-minute stretch in the middle of the game, he's looked pretty good tonight.

That blind pass by Malkin in the neutral zone was a head-scratcher to say the least...

With the win, the Ducks have secured their first winning streak of the season.

For those of you new to the language, this streak refers to consecutive wins in excess of 1.

A winning streak for the Ducks before US Thanksgiving all but ensures Coach Carlyle is now off the hot seat. Ah - job security...

First off... I really hate LA traffic... even when I leave 1.5 hrs before the game and I live about 35 miles away... I still end up missing the first period...

On to the game.. I have been saying this for a few games now, the below the goal line defense, plays stemming from behind the Pens net, is awful. I swear they play some type of zone, as players are standing open on the dots (Richards I think the other night), right in front of goal (getzlaf last night) with no one around them. And many more chances that didn't result in goals. For a team that invested heavily on defense, they sure are porous. It's very similar to the Pens PP... I don't think anyone knows where the ohter players on the ice are... no support along the boards... outlet pass are only 3 skaters away... the offense suffers as a result of the poor defensive zone coverage and supprt/outlet passes. Which is a team problem.

It's too early panic. The Pens have the talent to go on a nice winning streal to put themselves into a secure playoff spot. I really don't care where the team finishes, ever, in any season, as long as it's in the top 8 of the East.

Trading of players, firing of coaches speak of panic, and this is not the time to panic. Staal, when he returns, will add a big boost to the Penguins. He will not be the savior, that will be the team playing within themselves, keeping the game simple, and playing for 60 minutes. Nothing that is unheard of. A little humbleness now may go a long way into the future. You are not special enough to make behind the back blind passes, or to pass the puck by 3 defenders up the nuetral zone or across the ice... keep in simple.

Go Pens.
