Mr. Vokoun is starting in net against his former club, hoping to continue his performance from New York, while the team is coming off a pretty convincing victory at home against New Jersey. Sid's line was fairly dominant, and lets hope that continues in the Nation's Capital.

No game for me, gotta work, but hoping for a big W to keep this mini streak going. GO PENS!

I do believe so...I seem to recall that at least. A quick google search says it didn't happen last year however.

yeah, I just know they played in 2010 and 2011 because I was at the 2010 game and the 2011 was on before the Steelers-Packers super bowl.

Yep 3 of the last 4 years (counting this year). The Pens played the Devils and the Caps played the Bruins last year.

It would be a nice tradition to see every year at 12:30 EST.

It would be nice to see both Malkin and Ovi elevate their seasons today...
I expect this one to be the most physical game the Pens will be in so far on this young season. Started by the Caps coming out of the gates fast and hard. Caps, seems to me, typically have teh edge over the Pens in the regular season... the Caps are going to want to jump on the Pens fast, not allow them to get the skates going...

This is setting up to be a bad week for the Pens. 2 against the Caps, 1 vs Isles (0-3 in last 3) and way against the Devs (where the Pens are awful)... 2-2 will be a good week.

A win today could go a long way for the Caps, they've been playing better and a result vs the Pens could really put them in a decent position even with the horrible start.
