I hope you are saying that there is nothing to be done so complaining about it wont help, rather than Penn State deserved even 1/8th what they got...
Fuck the NCAA
For the record I Understand the Fine, as long as the NCAA uses the money to help victims, but Bowl Ban, Transfers, and Forcing even more kids to have to pay for college or not go is just flat out wrong.
que?
Fucking Dripping ****.
I hope you are saying that there is nothing to be done so complaining about it wont help, rather than Penn State deserved even 1/8th what they got...
The guys on scholarship won't lose their schollys. That was why it is being eased in. Overall, 40 scholarships will not be given out to people who may have earned them. Nobody currently on scholarship will lose one.
What is your point.
Let me add this: Of the 40 who WOULD have received scholarships to play football, NONE will have to pay for college. If they would be good enough to play for Penn State, then they are good enough to play elsewhere.
We already have an excellent GPA as a team, it will probably be in the top 1% now that we won't have any athletes anymore...
The fact that Penn St can't pull the scholly of a slacker is significant as well. As long as they remain academically eligible, they're good to go.
You are right, but what about the players who spot they will take on the new team? It trickles down.
Id want Jones for sure hed start right away
Is that part of the punishment?
The effects of that are less than 1/3rd of a player per team spread across the entirety of FBS football.
It's impact gets smaller and smaller once it trickles down to FCS and below.
Paul Jones?
You're telling me a player who's never taken a meaningful D1 snap will come in and immediately snatch the job from Taylor
I dont think colleges lower than Div1aa give scholarships though I could be mistaken.
Penn State is a top school, that recruits locally. Kids that cant go to Penn State will not end up at SDSU just because they are willing to give a scholarship. They are more likely to pay their own way to Penn State and walk on.
It was part of the sanctions. All those who stay and are currently on scholly get to keep them.
