Christ Puck how old are you!
I'm comfortable with that.
Mio's mustached and mullet are...
...well, they're there.
And that, by definition is a hater. Lets be real here, what does Sid do that would draw the ire of an opposing fan? You obviously will say he 'whines', and in his first few years in the league, yeah he did. With his role as an NHL captain now, it's his job to jaw at the refs. Other than that, whatcha got? He's the hardest working, most dedicated guy on the ice. He doesn't employ Avery tactics, and he doesn't cry in his post-game pressers. Sid just comes out every night and performs with the same determination he did the night before.
edit: i don't expect you to like him, but hating him because of his talent... is a hater
kind looks like Principal Rooney in Ferris Bueller's Day Off
.. so when i hear terms like 'hater' used by non-athletes i get very discouraged with the future of our society
the sentence: 'you're just a hater' implies that you are one that hates.. what do you hate? based on the sentence, you could hate anything, so to call someone a 'hater' is ridiculous.. you can say 'you just hate crosby' all you want and i will have no problems with that, but i'm sure every one of us in here is a 'hater' because we all hate something..
AND THEREFORE.. (a witch! ).. in my mind, calling someone a 'hater' is very similar to telling someone you're having a conversation with, that they can talk.. its just inane babble to cover up the fact that you have no comeback to someone insulting you/rant
Rooney: (looking at the tv screen - Cubs game is on) What's the score?
Pizza Guy: 0-0
Rooney: Who's winning?
Pizza Guy: Da Bears
(I'm just sitting here with my eyes open super wide having no idea what I've just read)
i dont think there are 2 words that are commonly used that make me as angry as those 2
basically, i dont mind when people tell me i hate crosby blindly, because i sorta do.. but i HATE when people say 'you're just a hater', because i HATE the word 'hater'.. its an unintelligent, uneducated, response for when you can't think of anything better to say.. IMO..
Flyers Lose
I don't think it's an uneducated response. It seems to just be someone applying the noun to the verb you're already admittedly engaged in. I'm sorry to end my sentence in a preposition. I've been corrupted by professional athletes.
