Yeah, I can honestly say I never joined the 'trade Fleury wagon'. Anyone who thought it was a good idea to trade a 26 year old goalie who recently won a Stanley Cup was tripping on something. Easy to say that now of course.

I never wanted him traded, I did want Johnson to play more early though

Amazing to think of the crap people were spewing out about MAF at the beginning of the season. Man he's come far this season.

I don't recall many people on here saying that they wanted him traded or anything drastic... just that they were disappointed in his early season performance... myself included

I remember having a discussion with some people on here who didn't expect Fleury to come close to his 2008-09 performance, and I was of the opinion that not only could he duplicate it, but could do improve his numbers. At this point he's exceeded my expectations. hopefully he keeps it up
