By the looks of it, we don't have long to wait on Bennett. He didn't look out of place last night, from what I saw of him.

Sutter did look great. It won't be easy replacing Staal, but Sutter's attitude will fit right in here. I can't wait to see how he does this season.

Bennett did look good and it is good to see a top-six forward in the system if needed.

Honestly I think the only reason he isn't in Pittsburgh is strictly due to waivers. Because right now if Tangradi was put on waivers a team would pick him up, but if he looks slow and out of place after a few weeks of games he will get through waivers without any issue. With the hope he figures it out one day in WBS.

As for Sutter he is fitting right in, big shoes to fill from Staal but not too worried since they will still score goals if he doesn't.

For Despres I read a report that me might play right away and be paired with Letang. Might be the best for him to get his game going since the reports say he hasn't looked good in WBS.

My biggest concern is the pairing of Martin/Orpik if they don't turn it around Letang might average about 35 minutes a game.

No he didn't.

Malkin
Jeffrey
Letang almost played.

Despres and Tangradi were in WBS.

I think that is it.

hm.. that's kinda strange IMO.. you'd think more would have gone to europe

schenn, couturier, gustafsson, and bourdon all played in adirondack

read, bryz, talbot, simmonds, briere, giroux, sestito, fedetenko, and voracek all played in europe, plus a 4 game stint for grossmann over there

Tangradi should be useful. But he needs more minutes than he's seen with the Penguins his first few times up to get there, and he needs powerplay time. The problem with giving him those minutes is that you would have to take minutes from a more proven and still deserving player.

Without a doubt. His timing will never come if he stays on a fourth like with Adams/Vitale and whoever.
