Bottom line is, Anderson was a cancer and a one season wonder, Ownership doesn't want to spend money to bring in Quality vets to mix with young talent. So far Their new D man is the same pansy he was in ST. Louis! Unfortunately they will trade away more young talent.

Here's a good one, how about Zherdev, Shelly and a 5th rounder for Liles? Now that sounds like a def great deal!

The thing with Elliott is that he IS an NHL goalie. He just can`t handle the full workload for a team. He can have great 20 game stretches; that`s no fluke. But it seems like he breaks down when needed for a full season in the primary role. I think he lacks the mental toughness to play more than 30 games a season. He just seems to lose focus when he`s playing a lot.

Simply put he`s Alex Auld v. 2.0. He`s big, he`s fairly sound but he`s just a backup, pure and simple.

It sounds like you traded Craig Anderson for another Craig Anderson. Remember, he was stellar in short bursts for Florida to the point where many said they should trade Vokoun to make room for him. He could have won a Vezina last year, too... I think with how bad Colorado's defense has been he just got burned out. Anderson is a great goalie, maybe even a potential number one, but he shouldn't get more than 50 starts, at least not on a team with Liles as their number one blue line option.
