Sam Howell had a career day, finishing with a 75 percent completion percentage, 397 passing yards, four touchdowns, and a 114.0 passer rating. He broke the franchise record for most completions in the first half (24), became the fastest quarterback in franchise history to 200 completions, and became second in team history for the number of passing touchdowns through nine games (13).

He also had two of the top-15 most improbable completions of the week, including a 13-yard dart to Jahan Dotson (14.2% completion probability) and a 26-yard touchdown reception to Terry McLaurin (27.9%).

.The defense allowed 11 big plays including passes of 15, 16 (3), 17 (2), 18, 20, 24, 25, and 38 yards. This accounted for 17.7 percent of the Philadelphia Eagles' plays ran while leading to 59.3% of their total offensive yards, resulting in 21 points.

The Commanders' defense has now given up more than 30 points in 62.5 percent of their games. I don't care how good your offense is, - if you are giving up that many points, every game is going to be a struggle.

This "fearsome" defensive front four didn't get much pressure on a hobbled Jalen Hurts. The quarterback averaged 3.03 seconds time to throw, tied for fourth-longest in Week 8.

By comparison, Sam Howell had 2.54 seconds. Hurts finished with a career game, reaching season highs in completions, passing yards, passing touchdowns, and passer rating. He also had a completion percentage 17.4 percent over expected - second highest in Week 8.

I am tempering my enthusiasm for now. EB has put up 100 points against the Eagles going back to the Super Bowl.

It was really the quick game and moving the pocket. I’m not sure the Oline had as much to do with it. EB finally had a good game plan for this qb
