I was rooting for the Jets out of general dislike for the Patriots. Glad they won.

It's pretty unlikely that the Broncos will get the HFA, but it would be huge to lock up a 1st round bye. Gotta handle business tomorrow night.

No doubt. Wouldn't want KC to win the AFC W!

2-0 2nd seed and a bye
1-1 5th seed
0-2 no playoffs

Unless the unthinkable happens and Miami beats NE in Foxboro. Then we get #1 seed if we go 2-0.

Let me correct myself before someone else does - the Pats game next Sunday is in Miami.

Close but it's more dynamic than that:

2-0 and no worse that the 2 seed, but earns the 1 seed with a Pats loss to the Phins.
1-1 and 3rd seed if Chiefs lose; 5th seed if Steelers or Jets go 10-6; 6th seed if Jets go 11-5
0-2 and 6th seed if Steelers lose to Browns; out of playoffs if Steelers reach 10-6

Had to add a minor edit.

If Denver can't win to get in then they just don't deserve to be there.

Agree completely. Was rooting for the Jets all the way. If the Broncos can't beat the Bengals at home without Dalton, then things are worse than I thought. Backing into the playoffs usually is just a stay of execution. Let's win out and get some momentum.

Besides rooting for the Pats is not something you ever want to do.

JETS! JETS! JETS!

Although makes me a bit more nervous about this game everytime the Pats open it back up to it seems like we choke.

All the great QBs save Brady reside in the NFC. The AFC is filled with average below averagel crap QB right now. Denver just needs to get in with a healthy CJ Anderson to boost the run game.

The issue is the OLine. Can't fix that this year. More than likely poor Oline play will keep many teams from winning the Super Bowl like NE, GB, DEN.

I saw a list the other day and yeah the AFC is void of great QB play right now.

We have Tom Brady
Alex Smith
AJ McCarron
Ryan Fitzpatrick
Whoever is starting for Houston
Brock Osweiler.

Honestly Alex Smith might be the 2nd best QB in the AFC that will make the playoffs. This is one of the reasons I actually do think the Broncos stand a chance at making it to the Super Bowl. Our defense should be able to stop all but the Patriots with relative ease. So just a matter of Osweiler playing average to above average and our team stands a very good chance.

Well the way I understand it he was not too happy with his OL and how the offense was functioning. So he put his trust in his defense to get a big stop and get the offense decent field position only needing a field goal to win the game. Obviously that backfired big time.

Didn't Slater make the wrong call?

or is that wrong?

I thought that was on Slater.

BB told him that they wanted to kick. The problem was I think BB wanted him to defer so they could pick the direction they were kicking instead of saying they wanted to kick meaning the Jets got the ball plus got to pick which direction they went.

Gotta go big!

Gotta get your rosary out and hope Patriots lose last two games and we win last two games. :)

Plus I would rather see the Jets in then the Steelers who is the last team I want to see in the playoffs right now.

If Denver can't win to get in then they just don't deserve to be there.

At some point you need to do it ! I say we control our destiny .. Lets kick some ass

What I am saying is that because our defense has done so well this year and because we have won so many of these games even with the offense struggling sometimes that causes players and coaches to maybe not look as hard as they should at the issues. Let's say we win these last couple of close games instead of losing. Well the team probably thinks things are good enough going into the playoffs especially if say the defense held on to beat Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh. These losses though cause the team to have to look much deeper.

I think Terrell Davis was the one that said the late season losses actually were a huge deal in them winning the Super bowl because they were cruising through the season and even though not everything was perfect they were still winning so the players began to relax a little. The late season losses reminded them that they can lose and they better sharpen things up if they want to win the Super Bowl. Well of course we know what happened with that.

Listening to Kubiak talk this week he has said that these 2nd half collapses have been the focus of practice, meetings, and pretty much everything for the past 2 weeks. My guess is we see something a little different this Monday. Now with the coaching I agree there is a lot more they should be doing but I do think some of it is just they are limited with the talent they have. Our OL is starting 2 3rd String Tackles. Hard to have predicted that to have happened and to think they would be able to hold up. As we saw in 2013 even though our back up LT played decently throughout the year he was still a huge weakness that was hard to cover up against the great teams or at least great players. I do hope they give Schofield more help moving forward. He looks like a man who has completely lost his confidence. I do know though that Kubiak's offense is based a lot around the TE's attacking the middle of the field so keeping them in to block really limits his playbook. I think that is why he has been stubborn in not keeping them in to block.

Deal is you attack the premiter SP to were the pressure is coming .. Screens can make teams rethink crashing down DE .. this was how we beat the Raiders .. they were killing us in the same place we ran screens in to Schofield Area a couple times and this made the DE hold for just that second
