Brady did not have his best game but what probably won it was the last drive of first half for a TD, with under two minutes left.

Give Rex Ryan credit. That was an excellent defensive game plan. He kept Brady and the Patriots off balance all night. I'm sure the Denver Broncos are taking notes.

Rex game plan did contain Gronk, so that part worked. In the end, Pats made a couple more crucial plays, which decided the game.

Edit: With Edelman out they can double team Gronk, which is what the Bills did all night long.

When Amendola went down with a knee injury, it got even worse.

...AND ........Peyton's been jotting down notes on his footy-cast too.....*as he lies in his hospital-bed/Archie wiping his brow*.

Rex's defensive scheme certainly took it to the Patriots last night. Having to burn time outs at terrible times screwed him. I think he really should be a DC and not a HC.

Now with Amendola down the patriots are in some serious trouble. I mean teams will now just triple team Gronk and stop the run and Brady won't have many options. LaFell and Dopson (who also got hurt) will need to step up...

Looked liked Taylor was suffering at the end from some kind of collar bone injury, I think that's why they didn't try a hail Mary to at least maybe get a PI call, he didn't have the arm to go for it.

He had an injury no doubt but a few plays before it certainly didn't seem to matter to him when he threw that excellent pass to (hobbs?) on the sideline. Though it is interesting how Manuel didn't come in because Taylor was clearly in pain

Dropping like flies yes.

But White had a pretty fine game.

And his catch was called back on a penalty but Harper made a great catch.

And I flat out love Butler on the other side of the ball...

Any updates on Amendola...I know he was supposed to get an MRI but haven't heard the results.

Butler's coming around but he has to turn back toward the ball and not just run into the receiver with is arms up in the way.

I think that's his thing. Bat the ball away as it's arriving. He's not going to out physical anybody so he has to be sneaky.

That's not the problem. The problem is more he doesn't get his head around. I was very disappointed in the Bills WR's last night as they could have gotten a couple of huge PI calls if they just worked harder to come back to the ball. Butler and a couple of the other defenders never looked back. That is an easy call every time. So they got a bit lucky that the WR's didn't quite come back like they should have and were able to bat down the ball.

I realize and understand.

But he's watching the eyes and is very quick.

Remember he's only in his second year (after not even being drafted) yet playing at a very high level. And they kind of leave him alone for the most part.

Oh I think he is a good player don't get me wrong. I just do think that his not getting his head around is going to lead to some big penalties.

Nothing that I have heard, except about 3 hours ago that he was going to get the MRI.

The Patriots are “cautiously optimistic” Amendola’s knee injury is minor, NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday, and their hope is the MRI will reveal “nothing major,” FOX Sports’ Mike Garafolo reported.

Your right surprised Sammy didn't drop 100 yards on him, that 1 arm catch was spectacular. Would love to see that kid in NE or somewhere with a decent QB

Sammy himself said NE took care of him.

The players know when they are bested.

I'm not sure I completely agree with that. Watkins got behind the defense at least a few times. This was in my opinion the worst game of the year for Taylor. He missed some big time opportunities on that left side of the field. Butler was a huge culprit on a couple of those where he bit when he had deep 1/3rd coverage.

Just saying what Sammy said.

Again Butler is a good Corner. I just think a few better throws on those deep passes and Butler's stat line looks much different. I think he has the makings of a great corner but he has some technique issues that could get him burned. Going to be interesting to watch him this next Sunday against the Broncos with DT and Sanders if he plays. Throw in the possible emergence of Cody Latimer.
