Uh seriously? You can't stop the clock by going out of bounds backwards it needs to be forward or horizontally not backwards or the clock will continue. That's been a rule for decades

So say Tyrod Taylor throws that ball to Watkins on a comeback route. Watson catches the ball and immediately goes out while he is coming back to catch the pass. The clock doesn't stop then? I have never seen that one called. Or do you mean you can't physically go out of bounds ass first and have the clock stop? Either way, dumb rule.

Edit: Never mind, you clarified that it's just college. Still a dumb rule though.
