Boston Sports Tonight reported on Monday night that same statement that Caserio wants out of NE. I think that the wording may be wrong because the people on BST said he was interested in the Texan's GM position.

There are some facts that people are not reporting and the most critical is that Caserio has a solid contract with the Patriots through 2020 draft. That and Bill O'Brien is the main reason that several frontoffice people have been fired in Houston. Since Bob McNair died, his son is running the team and he doesn't know shit from shinola. He's pretty much allowed O'Brien total control. If Caserio goes to Houston, he will have total control of everything or he won't take the job. No way he goes to the Texans and let's BO boss him around and veto trades and personnel moves. So if McNair wants Caserio and he is willing to go, Belichick will get players and draft picks and let him go now. If Caserio takes the GM job for the Texans, Bill O'Brien could be in his final year as head coach because Caserio will not get into a pissing contest every time he wants to make a move.

Stay tuned.

Well I sure would hate to see him go, players and picks be dammed. I can't imagine anyone that could take his place.

Page not found...was the story a hit job that has been deleted???

Volin wasn't accurate and actually let his opinion get into the facts. Globe pulled the story but the basics are true.

Rumors are swirling that Kraft is going to promote Caserio to a VP title, if he wants it. If not, then BB will have to do something or lose Nick after the 2020 draft. Problem is......if Caserio is going to the Texans, would you trust him to make improvements to the Patriots while preparing to take over the Texans?

According to one rumor, Caserio would be named Vice President of Team Operations and keep all of his present duties which are pretty much the GM without the GM title. He would also take on a few new responsibilities which would pretty much allow him 100% control of signing players and CAP responsibility. He already does the college scouting . This might piss off BB a bit but it's easily solved if they both agree to work together.

The last segment is that the Patriots will not let him stay if he intends to leave. If he is set on going, the patriotswill trade him to the Texans for players and/or draft picks. The Texans want him badly and would probably cough up a second round pick and possibly a player. Personally, I'd try to get their left tackle and a 5th round pick.

We'll see........this won't go away soon.

Dirty Laundry

Patriots reportedly “livid” with Jack Easterby

As to Easterby’s departure, his willingness to publicly hinge the decision on the solicitation of prostitution charges against owner Robert Kraft’s “did not sit well” with the Patriots (especially since it’s possible if not probable that Easterby already was planning to leave before the incident occurred).

I stand by my former comments;
"Easterby seems to be less of a chaplain/life coach and more of an opportunist/scumbag."

Usually I'd agree with that, but the Texans had two and a half months to try and get him. Just because they rebooted late shouldn't force others to reboot too.

Great point. The Texans kept theirGM around because they needed his input for the draft and there was no way that they could even approach Caserio. A week after the draft they can their man and start pitter pattering around Caserio. That's tampering and Caserio is under contract, which they knew.

Kraft files a tampering charge and every other owner gets nervous because it's a common practice and if the league came don on the Texans, all of the underhanded bullshit that's been going on since the 1970'swould be stopped cold. The league was also pushed into a corner with no escape because they would have been forced to penalized the Texans at least $1M and their 2020 1st round draft pick because this was worse than spygate or NonDeflategate. Word is that Jerry Jones and bunch of other owners had a conference call with Kraft and he agreed to drop the tampering charge.

Now the Boston Globe is reporting that Caserio wants to go to the Texans. Johnathan Kraft has become involved and you can be sure that he's going to do everything he can to convince Caserio to stay. If he does go, Kraft can reintroduce the tampering charge and go "all in".

True they did and kept their GM basically they had that "position" for the draft.... It's all good though... I just say, either pay him or let him go..... We all BB is the GM anyway

I agree.
Pay him or let him walk on his own with a big offer.
And if he walks to Texas, file tampering for their first...
