I know that, the Pats have used TEs in the FB position in the past it's not uncommon. Right now Devlin is on IR and Johnson our other FB went to IR this week. The Pats just resigned Ben Watson a pass catching TE and have Izzo on the roster too. It's not out of the question for the Pats to use a TE in schemes that may call for a FB.

Isn't Izzo an option for that? Tomlinson is 6'6 262, a bit big for a FB (although Izzo is 6'5 256, not much smaller). There are FB options available out there, but the XFL draft is underway as well.

Sure point being is I would not be surprised to see a TE in the backfield or one supporting the Tackle again depending on the play calls.

He will never come back. He’s on Detroit and turned the pats down when he was a FA. He took pay cut after pay cut to stay on the team. He’s over it. He wants the money now. I don’t blame him. It’s embarrassing how they treated him and Leggerrate Blount.
