Sadly it sounds like Coach Burns is near the end of his long fight with cancer.

This isn't unexpected, but it is very sad just the same...The league should have put Pat Burns in the Hall of Fame last November.

Yeah it is a bum deal. I feel kinda bad for some of the things I used to yell at him through my TV.

Does anybody remember when CBS ran a crawler during 60 Minutes that Joe Dimaggio passed away?

If i recall correctly they heard he was in grave health and wanted to have the crawler ready for when he did pass, but somebody ran it by mistake.

Like Pat, Joe called CBS to let them know he was still alive.


/Just looked it up, it was during an NCAA Tournament game which he was watching.....
