I really thought redskins got good value for taking him in the 5th. First time I saw him though, I thought of Baker Mayfield and I hope he changes my thoughts

Howell definitely has something. That guy has starting QB potential. Raw, and sometimes slow processing things, but he has pocket presence and all the physical tools. Good pick-up.

I don't know who the colour commentator was, but I hope I never have to listen to him again.

Chiller is absolutely right on this . To early to anoint him anything other then 3rd string and hope he can develop into a viable 2nd teamer, but it will as a good start

I’m pretty sure everybody thought the commanders got good value drafting howell in the fifth.

I’m also glad he looked good versus third stringers. Maybe next game he’ll get some action against second stringers.

I think he closed the gap for 2nd string for sure. If he balls out over the next 2 games then yes, he would be 2nd team. We know what we have in Heinke, but what Howell did today was great.

Hopefully, he plays the entire 3rd preseason game. Snaps are valuable right now.

IF Wentz plays well this year, we will be fine.

Sustainable drives keep the opposing offense off the field. That's what we need this year.
