Panthers offloaded their two best offensive skill players this year. They can still win the trade but they are taking all of the risk. Panthers bailing out the Bears for trading for Fields in the first place.

I always figured the original speculation in a Panthers trade up would have Brian Burns as the player prize. I think Carolina is probably better off in this scenario as they can probably find an alright receiver in rd2 while still having their defense intact.

Getting DJ Moore makes up for the drop down to 9 because I wouldn't want to pass up on Will Anderson. There's a slight chance Jalen Carter might still be there at 9 so this could be a big time win for the Bears if he is.

What is DJ Moore's value? If he's worth the #58 pick it's a dead even trade. The Panthers are trading up for a QB. The question is which QB?

I would go Stroud unless I’m in love with Richardson and I have a plan for his development. I don’t like investing in Young because of his size.

Ryan Poles continues to impress me. This is a big year for him as it’s his first draft with a full compliment of picks, a ton of cap space (that he created), and he already started off by getting more draft picks and helping fix a hole before free agency has even started. Hopefully, the good things keep happening for the bears. They could surprise people this coming year if Poles makes all of the right moves.

He's a gamble, but mainly in the short term. I thought he'd best be suited to be taken by a team with some patience, where his services aren't needed for at least a couple of years. The man has mad skills tho, can't deny that.

He honestly is, however, I think Richardson is a better fit in that system than Young is.
