As brutal as that game was for Palmer, especially the statline, I have to say that his arm did look much stronger than it has in awhile...
maybe that's because he's fresh, and it'll tire as the season goes on.. but I did notice a difference
but by the time that mess is sorted out this might turn out to be a relatively high 1st rd pick for the Bengals

It wasn't reasonable to expect him to be in midseason form, but if I were the Raiders and Hue Jackson, I'd be more than a little apprehensive right now....that was a fugly performance....

He had 21 pass attempts in less than a half. If it were my guess, with McFadden and a game that doesn't start down 21, he'll be passing the ball maybe 25 times the entire game, so I think they'll be able to keep him relatively fresh. But I agree, that is something to watch the rest of the way through.
Considering they already have 4 wins and their schedule isn't too difficult, I can't see us getting better than a mid-round pick.

You were the biggest proponent of Carson playing after 3 practices. And yes, you're right - This was a concern.
But I will say that it was nice to see Palmer throwing a pick 6 again - It really feels like autumn again.

Yes, I was. But that was under the assumption they'd play him start to finish, not down 0-21 with McFadden out. It took away everything that could have protected him: 1) running game and 2) simple routes (screens, check downs, short routes).
Unfortunately for them, Boller's play twisted Hue's arm into putting Carson in.
"They will probably run the air out of the ball, and Carson's job will be to simply not make mistakes. They'll probably have a few short routes, some screens, and a lot of check downs to the TE and McFadden." --Post #2
They could do none of this a series into the 3rd quarter and down 21.
