Wilson Reminds me of Tom Brady through the first half of his career (with the extra capability of mobility). They had a solid defense and great running game while Brady just didn't lose games and was clutch while winning SB's like Wilson. However many didn't consider him elite until they gained many weapons on offense became a pass first offense and the D was lagging. Since that time he has posted gaudy numbers for many years and all of a sudden he was elite/best in the league. He didn't get better, the system and the players around him did and that's why the numbers were posted. Hawks will be a run first defensive team as long as The O and D coordinators stay with the Hawks. Therefore, just like with the Badgers RW will be an afterthought for individual awards.


First two years starting for elite or potential elite QB's.

The one thing I will say is that when the Seahawks went down 7-3 the Seahawks offense scored touchdowns on their next two possessions.

One thing that hasn't really been talked about is how much Wilson's throwaways helped the offense. He was 19-28 yesterday for 191 yards. 68% completions. However Wilson also threw the ball away 5 times. So on non-throwaways he was 82% on completions that weren't intentional throwaways. IMO, that was the biggest improvement I saw in him last night over last year. He quickly diagnosed broken plays, dropped out of the pocket and got rid of the ball. He didn't try to press it and kept the drive alive.

The Seahawks offense has some serious talent. That doesn't really take away from Wilson's play. Manning has some all-pros on his team. So does Brees. Look at the difference in play for Brady when he has Gronk and when he doesn't. No QB can carry an offense all by themselves.

Packers D is notorious for giving up TD's or scores right after the score.

I wouldn't worry too much, when you have a qb like AR, and a rb like Lacy, you'll always have a chance.
They just played possibly the top D in the league in their own house and it's the first game of the season....
Once Dix learns how to tackle better, it won't be as easy , and you know Mike will make the adjustments he needs to check most run attacks....BM is a runaway train.....
I always remind fans that it's not so important how you start the season but rather how you finish it....
