After contributing a 22-yard interception return touchdown and a fumble recovery to help the Green Bay Packers beat the Atlanta Falcons on Dec. 9, Bashaud Breeland reflected on his recent journey in the National Football League.
“It's been an up-and-down type of year for me,” Breeland said. “I've just really kept my head down to try and get where I want to be. All I can do is just work. I can't dwell on the past.”
The free-agent cornerback is looking toward a future in Kansas City after agreeing to terms with the Chiefs, a source confirmed. The news was first reported by ESPN.
Breeland got an incentive-laden, one-year deal that can be worth a maximum of $5 million, NFL Network reported.
