Package Deal?

Recently The orioles inquired about Byrd. However Amaro wanted to include Ryan Howard in the Deal.
Guess what? The orioles were not interested. Amaro is trying to dump Howard and that is a good thing.

Who would you package with Howard in a trade deal? Or should we just hope that somebody will take him on a stand alone deal?

I would think San Diego would be a potential destination for him, assuming the Phils were looking to eat a decent portion of the contract. They don't have a 1B and appear to be trying to make a run for it in '15.

Seems like a market for Howard is shrinking fast. Most teams who had a need for power hitting 1st basemen or DH types have already signed somebody. Amaro needs to get real or we will be stuck
with Howard next season.

Somewhere in one of those articles about the "package deal" they tried to sell Baltimore one of guys in the comment section had a great line. It was something like "His weaknesses are in his hitting and his defense so it is better to shop him to an AL team as a DH so only one of those weaknesses will be exposed".
