Full disclosure I've heard main reason Williams wanted to come back to So Cal is because his dads sick. Oregon head coach Cristobal told him to not even think about it and go. Great move by Cristobal.

Coaching rep carries weight when recruiting assistants. Be a dick, and you can forget about pulling in top talent.

True. USC had a Cali RB who was just finishing his freshman year and his dad took a job on the Purdue football team and Pete let him transfer to Notre Dame to be closer to his dad. So many coaches would have never done it for two reasons. One he didn't really have to . Being away from your parents is what a lot of players experience and second he let him go to their biggest rival. I was happy that he let him go.

Not sure how someone can say the conference as a whole is to blame or we aren’t P5 worthy as though the HC are making peanuts. Does our tv deal and commissioner suck balls, yeah. I think every single person would’ve laughed at Colorado matched that offer. The thing that is hurting the conference is other big schools are paying outrageous amounts of money for “recruiters”. Grinch left our school to go be an assistant defensive coordinator and got a pay raise.

Get to play Nebraska more often, so maybe an easier path to bowl eligibility.

A bit unusual unless it's for academic reasons. Slovis played well last year.

Revenue gap, sure. But the Tucker signing has nothing to do with the conference as a whole. Tucker is essentially a less qualified Willie Taggart. Everyone ripped on Oregon for not matching Florida State’s offer. The Pac 12 is still in a solid position once Disney drops ESPN and Fox is the only sports channel that is able to actually pay the checks they promised.
