Tough call. First of all, if you clear the acceptance reqs for Stanford S.A.s, you would of probably been offered by multiple Ivy League schools as well. Many of them offering scholarships or at least a better financial package than walk-on status.

But you'll be in student debt up to your eyeballs for a decade or more trying to pay tuition at Stanford, so pick your poison.

On the flip side, Oregon St. will provide you a better opportunity to get playing time, even though your going to be losing alot for at least 2 years of your career there and you may never even make a bowl game. There is no guarantees that Smith is going to be able to turn that program around. But a degree from either of the Oregon schools is toilet paper so your really gonna have to be a go-getter when it comes to your career to make it after you graduate.

Depends on the degree

Preferred walk on easily at Stanford. Just like several recruits have been verbal to WSU and chose preferred walk on’s at USC. Any kind of in at Stanford or USC or hell even Muttlake than a full ride at WSU or OSU or Oregon. Worst case scenario is they get a semester of debt then transfer, normal scenario is they find some other random scholarship to cover tuition until a scholarship is available.

LOL. There is a 5 alarm meltdown going on with the Duck nation right now over this news. I'm gonna die laughing if this goes down.

Mario Cristobal is the Vegas favorite to be Miami's next HC at +250 - Next closest is Mark Stoops at +400 and Lane Kiffin at +500

Yup this has been blowing up my phone this week. It’s looking more and more like it may happen. But I hope he is a man of his word and stays with the ducks.

We've seen this way too many times. Media always blows up the speculation machine and becomes their own 'sources' as more and more carry it.

I'm not saying it's not going to happen, but $10m buyout isn't chump change and they have other options right up there.

The one good thing for the ducks is all of that class already signed before feb. If this had been before the early signing era there'd be a hell of a lot more to worry about.

What does the above have to do with the Pac 12?
Read more than just one post up... Oregon’s head coach is safe for now.

Looks like Miami is going to go with Manny Diaz who was their DC until he took the job at Temple like 2 weeks ago.
Ouch...

But appears Ducks dodged a bullet here. That 8-10 million buyout would of been rough to justify for the Miami AD and boosters, and was probably what saved their asses this time. Even though they probably would of just promoted Levitt, and kept most of the recent commits from bailing.
