Cuonzo Martin from Tennessee to Cal. I really like it. Young guy and could be a good recruiter on the west coast given his character and the way he talks. Coming off a heart breaker with the elite 8 on the to Michigan.

Could be bad news for you Zona fans, since Arizona seemed to steal all the Bay Area talent since Montgomery wasn't a high-profile recruiter.

Something tells me we'll be just fine my man. Cuonzo is going to have a tough time dealing with the recruiting powerhouse that is Sean Miller, and not the other way around.

Definitely, but i'm saying there's a little more competition for your recruits, now. Say you usually get 3 from the bay area a year (you don't, just hypothetically). What if Cal takes one of those 3 and now you'll only have 2?

Yeah, I'm more than okay with it.

First of all, it's going to take a couple/few years of Martin doing big things in Berkley for those recruits to not go to AZ.

Second, a couple/few years of Cal doing big things will be good for the Pac anyway, and AZ.

Third, it'll be interesting over that same couple/few years to see what AZ does to add on to the success he has had at AZ.

Fourth, even if Martin gets a top recruit from the Bay area, I'm fine with that. AZ gets the rest, and gets SoCal, NW, and holds his own nationally.

Really, JBird is the only player that Miller (lost out on) from the Bay Area, and we didn't have room for him anyway.

Here's to hoping that Cal is on the rise!

Not so bold prediction: Herb Sendeck will be fired next season after finishing dead last in the conference. That program will have JUCO talent.
