Like I said elsewhere, it would require at least one decent-level prospect heading to the Pads to get this deal done, assuming the full contracts stay with both players and their new teams.

You really have to weigh the options and understand the gravity of a decision of this magnitude. This could become a heavy burden on your franchise for the next half decade. Do you think the Pads are ready to pay the hefty price in players/prospects for a gigantic gamble at 3B?
