You left out Arizona.

Their OOC schedule is

vs Northern Arizona
vs Houston
@ UTEP

Arizona is the only Power 5 school in the Country never to have scheduled an OOC
game vs a P5 opponent in the 4 years of the playoff era.
that was last year
this coming season is
BYU (who many conference count as P5)
Houston
Southern Utah

All good, I know Tech played one of the zona schools but I guess UA really hasn’t played a P5 ooc in 5 years lol
SEC and ACC posters like to point that out but what they don't say is that Arizona plays the same amount of P5 teams as a lot of ACC and SEC teams ... seeing how those two conferences play an 8 game conference schedule. That means they schedule one OOCG vs a P5 opponent and three sisters of the poor at home.

I don’t disagree with your opening statements but UA could find one OOc P5 to schedule in 5 years? That seems like a stretch.

It would bother me if the PAC played a pvssy ass 8 game conference schedule.

If your league has an identity problem and the Pac12 currently has a big one...you can
only improve it by facing teams from other P5 leagues.

If you have a division champ that wins with a 6-3 record, but they've beaten LSU in
an OOC game...you can tout being a "balanced" league. You can boast that everybody
is a tough out. Beating LSU would be your proof.

But if public opinion is that the Pac12 is the weakest league and you only want
to play conf teams. How in the hell can that help you.

ACC had an identity problem for years...now everybody gets out and plays teams
from other P5 leagues. It helped the image. We know our one lost league champ
will get selected for the playoffs. Other leagues don't know that. The SEC knows
they may get 2 selected.

The SEC are the masters of scheduling. They schedule big OOC games within the
first two or three weekends of the year, that keeps their name in the spotlight and
then they close with 4 OOC games and powerful rival games.

Everything in the middle is crap, but they play with people's minds that their schedules
are top-notch.

Note: Arkansas did have a home-and-home series with Michigan scheduled for 2018 and 2019, but UM backed out of the contract to renew their series with Notre Dame. Arkansas then received an exemption from the SEC to add a road game at Colorado State and count it as their Power non-conference game.

Michigan just scheduled a game with Arkansas State for 2020 which is a little ironic.

Probably a good thing that we don't play a P5 OOC this year so we can ease into the Morris era. Draw Vanderbilt from the east too.
