It wouldn't have made a difference. They will review all plays where a turnover was ruled. The play against the Giants was ruled down by forward progress. It also wasn't reviewable, and won't be under the new rules.
What this means is that whenever a fumble or interception is called on the field it will be reviewed. It's another rule to help the offense and hinder the defense.
