The kid he sprayed has a heck of a story to tell his friends...

That's pretty funny. Then again, I like Ovie and I don't really like kids so I'm probably a little bias.
"That wasn't a kid, that's Brian Gionta"
If you watched the game on the Capitals feed, Comcast Sports Net, like I HAD to you might think Price killed Backstrom near the end of the game. On Backstroms empty net goal Price tapped him with his stick as he went by the bench.
According to Craig Laughlin "whao Price just two handed Backstrom as he went by the bench. He whacked him with a two hander!" Repeated 10 times.
Price got a penalty, which I could care less about, but the replay made it look like Price was greeting an old friend, not a vicious attack like Laughlin made it sound.

True enough. Laughlin is well known to be a big homer, which is not necessarily a bad move professionally since he broadcasts for the Caps. But he was in especially rare form last night and comments were kinda ridiculous.
I agree Comeds, this was not a Hunter/Turgeon moment. It was a light tap. I think he was just frustrated, but isn't a douche and didn't want to hurt the guy or anything. So he tapped him, no biggie. Backstrom's reaction was pretty priceless.
As a goalie though, you can't take two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties though. You've already lost the game, no sense letting the other team know "you are totally under my skin" on top of that.
