nope, got a lot done so far, ran in both generators & filled all of the gas cans, I'm pretty much set for hurricane season

Not that want to see another hurricane but they should give them better names than Arthur. Sounds more like an old man in a cardigan sweater.

Me, too. I made a cup of coffee and got all of the yard work done. Well...technically I just wrote a check for the gardener, but the end result is the same.

yeah, Ike doesn't sound very imposing either but look what it did to Galveston and Katrina sounds like she ought to be one of those Russian mail order brides

I've been trying to catch that movie, again. One of the few so bad, it's good fun.

I hate the damage they do, but we could sure use some (a lot actually) of the rain they bring.

somebody was telling me that Lake Travis is almost 30 feet below it's average, that truly sucks. where are all of those college kids going to hang out now? spent many a strange weekend on that lake, I have to figure Canyon above New Braunfels isn't much better

Wait, we were told these are constant level lakes...

Lake Brownwood here is dry. Sadly, it took a lot of small Mom & Pops down with it.

Travis is where I did my deepest lake dive at 100 feet to get my rescue diver cert. Last I heard, it's juist a muddy hole now. Town/Lady Bird is supposed to have fared a bit better.
