#33 of Carolina takes a blatant cheap shot on Reed effectively taking him out of the game, and likely ending his season.

What happened to the old school Redskins that would have taken his head off in the next few plays?? For all the GMs talk of wanting tuff mean football players..... Had that happened to Doc Walker, next play I would have expected a counter trey and one of the hogs decapitating fucknutz from the blind side. Him getting carted off the field within the next five plays would NOT have been in question.

Was it really a "cheap shot", though?

Honestly, I'm not sure anyone else on the team saw exactly what happened, it was so far behind the play. But your point is valid and exemplifies what I believe is the underlying issue with this team. The lack of leadership on the field to take control of the team and keep them focused. We just don't have it and when the shit hits the fan, there isn't anyone out there to rally the troops. You would expect guys like Trent, and Kerrigan to assume those roles, but I'm not sure its in their personalities. Trent maybe, but given his personal issues, its tough. Ryan, he just doesn't appear to be that type of personality. Especially on defense, there is no on the field general and it hurts big time. On offense, I see KC assuming that role naturally in the next few years, he probably needs to quench that goofy streak, but guys are already starting to look up to him. But on Defense, we got squat. Its a problem.
