No self respecting defensive coordinator is going to ruin his career working for a one track mind coach like Lincoln Riley. It's been proven over and over again his style of offense is basically incompatible with solid defense.

See the last 3 games of last year for Oklahoma
3 Top 10 teams all got their ass beat by, get this, Defense.

It won't be hard to improve the Defense at Oklahoma because it just wasn't that great until those last 3 games.

And wasn't Lincoln Riley calling plays last year, an offense that ran the ball 60% of the time, or was that some other guy.

You need to up your trolling game my friend.

All I see, is another OU coach, making Texass his bitch. Again

You got one more year, maybe 2 before that changes. Riley wont stink off the bat, and Texas wont be great off the bat. But one coach teaches power football with emphasis on keeping the defense fresh, yours wont. You will see.

Bob Stoops is a defensive coach, he set the tone for practice and game planning. Within a couple years Riley will be trying to outscore everybody.

This is going to be a fun post to bookmark.

Better keep it bookmarked for awhile. It's gonna take some time for Stoops development to wear off and the defensive stink of Riley to take hold. I predict by year 3 he will have OU 8-4 or 9-3 and that will be your sweet spot under him. He's a damn good offensive coordinator, but his hurry up air raid has it's limits. Number 1 being defensive development. Because you have to practice so damn fast you can't properly coach up the defense. In one damn year at Texas I saw what the hurry up does. Granted our coaches (and a lot of the players) sucked too. But there was obvious defensive regression practicing the hurry up all the time.

Y'all should see it too. Bob Stoops is a defensive mastermind and you guys commitment to the hurry up has seriously hurt your defense. How you think it's going to be when the team is ran by the hurry up guy?

Lmao. Go back and look at our rushing totals since Riley took over. Thanks for playing, sport.

Yes it will. Just remember, blame the Big 12 and not your school. That will take the sting out.

P.S. I predicted you fucksticks to win the Big 12 this year. So no November bumps. Unless it's November of 2018 or 2019. 2019 is when I predict 8-4 at best. :D

You keep lamenting him as a pure air raid guy, and prompting Herman as a power guy. That couldn't be further from the truth. Since coming to Oklahoma, Riley has leaned heavily on the power run game, and understands the importance of it. If you're serious (which I doubt) you're an idiot. Otherwise, you need to up your troll game.

@romeo212000 thinks lots of rushing yards = power football. I guess Baylor use to just physically whip teams in their bowls games huh? No?

Seriously, show me one offensive hurry up coach competing for championship right now. I can't think of any since Chip Kelly. And I doubt he would today either. Oregon caught lightning in a bottle while the Pac 12 was down. It isn't anymore. USC and Washington don't run 100 plays a game. They keep their defenses fresh. Unlike what we are doing in the Big 12. Which is why we don't have any teams running the table anymore. You can't afford to have a single bad offensive game with that philosophy.

Go watch Oklahoma vs Iowa state last year. That game was all about power football and controlling the clock. Riley knows how to do what he needs to do. My guess is you're posturing because you're actually scared. Should be lots of fun to see how this turns out.

I never said anything about OU not being able to run the ball. That's your simple mind who equates rushing yards with power ball control football, not me. All kinds of spread teams are putting up huge rushing yards. It's the hurry up that's the problem. You don't let the defense rest enough. Or practice correctly. It's go go go in practice instead of teaching.

Well if you say it all, it must all be true! I'm glad you've got all this insight into Oklahomas program. Y'all worry about Kansas for now though, mmmkkayy.
