LT Trent Williams
LG Shawn Lauvao (but if Lauvao struggles I look for Arie Kouandjio to replace him)
C Kory Lichtensteiger
RG Spencer Long
RT Brandon Scherff

Only question is what happens to Morgan Moses?! If he moves to OG does he take Spencer Long's spot

I agree with the starting 5. Moses, Compton, Kojo, and Ribeye or the 7th round pick should be the olineman on this team. I think the 7th round pick might make it this year b/c Chester was our backup center with him gone it leaves a huge hole. So and interesting camp battle should take place between Ribeye and Reiter for the final o lineman spot as backup center.

Not a bad line, but there are two spots where I believe that the team wants desperately to upgrade. LG and Center. So far Lauvao is penciled in but the competition for jobs at guard will be fierce. If OTA's are any indication there will be 2 guys rotating with Lich for that spot.

BTW: Ribeye's days here are numbered, probably among the last cuts in camp.

The only way Ribeye makes it is if he becomes the backup center.

I agree, that's why I said that if Lauvao struggles then we might see Kouandjio. And yes I agree I think the only way Ribeye makes it is as a backup center

While I dont necessarily disagree with this......I do need to point out..in year 2...there was an entirly different coaching staff, and this new staff, may not know what he did prior to year 2....or, are willing to let mistakes from 2 years ago....'settle down"

While I would prefer to move Scherff to LG next to Williams to form a dominant left side, it likely won't happen this year due to Moses not being ready. I think Lauvao stinks and doesn't fit the SM theme. Maybe Kujo can upend Lauvao in camp this year. Hopefully sometime next year we can find a new center. As it stands now, we are still very weak at LG, C & RG which remains to be seen with Long as I'm not sold on him either. Having said that, I'm comfortable with Williams & Scherff but that is it. We are again, weak in the middle of our offensive line and it will be another long season due to this.

I think they have already dismissed the idea of Ribeye playing center after the recent experiment. So what happens when Lich gets hurt? Sure they can sign a guy off the street for the following game but they simply have to find a guy they can plug in game day.

why not work out ribeye at center and see if he is a fit ? the worst thing that happens is he fails and gets cut

he is the 3rd team OT and he has played some at OG . he is thought to be doing pretty well but he will need some seasoning .

Who is a rookie 7th round pick. Lets hope litch stays healthy

And what does being a 7th rounder have to do with anything???? McCloughan and Callahan evaluated him so far he has been impressive in ota's he was a finalist for the rimington trophy

well you dont count on a 7th rounder to start as a rookie unless there are injuries . rieter as a prospect looks like a superb pick but i think he will need some seasoning first . he is making a huge jump in level of competition

give him time , he could be something for us

I wouldn't want to throw a rookie 7th round pick into the fire this season.

As I said they tried but he failed miserably at the shot gun snaps so they seemed to have scraped the idea.
