Nice goal kimmo.

When the Lecavalier line took the ice I thought to myself, oh good we still have this line's goal too. They've been a force offensively. It was only a matter of time.

Hall gets the empty netter. Well deserved. Mad props to him in the face off dot over the past few games.

Adam Hall empty netter seals the deal! Flyers win 5-2! Offense was sensational tonight when they needed to, three different Flyers get their first goals of the season! The penalties and sloppy play at points in this game needs to be wiped out but solid game all around

If I had before the game picked maybe 6 to 8 Flyers that I would've most liked to see net a goal tonight to further enhance the progress of this team, Giroux, Couturier, Timonen, Simmonds and Hall would've been 5 of them. Incredible to watch it play out and this team showed a lot of resiliency in that third period.

The only thing you'd like to see is us not take our foot off the gas peddle so much once we get that two goal lead. We were guilty of it twice tonight and it burned us the first time when Ottawa tied it at 2. Then once we weathered the storm and pushed it to 4-2, the power plays we had were downright painful to watch.

Obviously props to Grossmann for probably the save of the year at the goal line. We may not even get a point (let alone two) if he doesn't stop that empty net chance.

Agreed the Flyers need to keep their foot on the gas and have a killer instinct - if they can play 60 minute games of consistently good hockey, they won't have to win games in the 3rd period, they will have already had control of the game from the start

The difference of course now is that late in games, the Flyers welcome the challenge and they have thrived in 3rd periods

Nicklas Grossmann has been stellar lately

Also, 11 different Flyers with a point in this game and 13 of them on the plus side of the plus/minus equation. That's great balance and playing a solid team game. You have to love our even strength play over the last several games. Only 1 goal given up across 5 games.

The flip side of that coin is that while we are scoring in all situations, including the power play, we're suddenly giving up too many power play goals as well. The discipline is not always there either. Two details to work on in the coming games.

Great win that I missed once again due to working night shift, from the responses here seems like they really played well and some goal by some guys who deserve them. Like already stated gotta keep their foot on the gas, they cannot let off a little bit and continue to climb the standings, I'm really liking the product they are putting on the ice as of late.

The key is to stay out of the box - if they stay out of the box the PK will be much better

The other thing that probably nobody is thinking about is how important these big regulation wins against Ottawa could be at the end of the season. Yeah, they're not in our division, but the Sens could easily be one of the teams we need to beat out for the second wild card spot if it comes down to that. I expect to lock up a top three spot, but shit happens...lol All we need to do is get in one way or another and beating up on middle of the road Atlantic division teams like Ottawa could provide a safety net to fall back on late.

Some of those penalties were ridiculous or flukey...but yes they definitely need to stay out of the box. I'm just glad that they're scoring again!

Missed the game because of work but saw all of the comments during and post-game. Nice win and I'll take it.
