Please take what follows advisedly...

The NFL has changed from the old school running game that sets up the passing game and with few exceptions, such as the Titans, is now a pass-first league that sets up the run game. The days of having that singular #1 WR and a much lesser talented WR2 days are numbered or in many current cases, already a thing of the past. RBs are also much more involved in the passing game and in fact, their ability to be multi-faceted has become a requirement of the job for starting-caliber players. (again, there are still a few exceptions)

If (the advisedly part) the plan is one that sees TM moving on, replaced by JD, and supported by a lesser talented WR (Brown, and Co.) then what follows MUST be a determination towards replacing an out-of-touch staff with one that is more in tune with current NFL norms. I know that the counterargument is based on difficulties in replacing these guys (who's going to want to come here) but it must be done sooner rather than later because contrary to popular opinion, things can get worse. (I won't offer an early prediction, but I will tell you all that we've seen it already)

I created a thread some time ago about what "culture change" looks like and knew at the time that I wouldn't offer a response to my own inquiry until some later date. That time is fairly close and soon I will offer a vision, not yet mentioned, nor remotely touched upon about the subject. Yep, you all missed it!!:D

Past due for replacing out of touch staff.
They let 4 young assistants go that are now head coaches. 49ers and Rams were in the superbowl. We have the type of staff that would've never played russell Wilson back in the day just because he wasn't the prototype

This could be very bad news for TM and further negotiations towards a new contract.
The fact that we are at this point is a problem. We have Landon's money off the books, so that excuse doesn't fly anymore.
