Thursday's OTA was private and no press was allowed during so not much info to report.

But word is Paul Richardson during the practice just continues to make people's jaws drop at his speed and the catches he's making. :suds:

Love hearing that about Richardson. Looking forward to seeing him preseason.

Paul Richardson has announced he's going to have the same type of LASIK eye surgery this week that Jermaine Kearse did.

Given the timing, this may mean the Seahawks felt good enough in his work to let him out of the 3rd OTA session that will be June 9-12. But may be back for the June 17-19 minicamp.

Pete Carroll mentioned during today's post OTA presser that Bruce Irvin will be back for the start of the season.

That LB Korey Toomer is as impressive as anyone so far.

OT Michael Bowie has been limited with a sore shoulder.

T Jax was out for a family reason.

Mentioned that Robert Turbin did have a surgical procedure in the off season to clean up one of his knees. But since he's been handling a lot of the RB duties since day one of the OTAs, appears he's 100% and good to go.

Pete Carroll and SB MVP/former Bears DE, Richard Dent, have been in talks about having Dent joining the Seahawks as a "pass-rush consultant".

“It’s been hard to find times that work for both of us but I would like very much to work with Pete and what they’re doing,” Dent told CSNChicago.com

It all began the Sunday morning before the Dec. 22 Bears-Philadelphia Eagles game, with Dent appearing on NFL Network’s early pre-game programming. Not long after the broadcast, Dent got a phone call.

On the line was Carroll, whose Seahawks had a late game that Sunday at home against the Arizona Cardinals. But Carroll, who had a defense already among the NFL’s elite, particularly against the pass, wanted to talk pass-rush specifics.

They were on the phone for nearly an hour-and-a-half, Dent on the East Coast around 9 a.m., Carroll on Seattle time. At the end of the talk, it was Dent who may have been the more impressed.

“That really tickled me to death,” Dent said. “It was an honor. We were talking about alignments, different things, situations, and at the end he said, ‘I think we should see about getting something done.’

“I was so impressed that he would call. Great conversation, great ideas, and then I watch the Super Bowl and his defensive linemen were all pushing the offensive linemen back into Peyton Manning’s face.”

Richard Dent as a pass rush consultant sounds like a good idea to me.

I think it's a great idea to have him in the film room teaching the guys on what and what not to do. Anything to get an extra leg up on the competition is a plus.
