I finished Dead Island yesterday. It was a lot of fun and took a while because there was a lot to do.

Playing NHL 13 because I am a weak weak man and I needs me some hockey. The skating is alright. The bounciness of the ice is less so.

It's a stealth game where you can stealth, or go completely bonkers and murder everything. For instance, earlier today I place a spike trap on the ground, which a guard then walked over and died. Another guard SAW him die, and it freaked him out and he started shooting at random which ended up killing a third guard. And then I jumped down from the ceiling and killed the terrified guard with my sword.

It's kinda awesome like that.

Anyone try Resident Evil 6? The reviews range from really bad to good.

I had NHL 13 for 3 weeks and played about 20 minutes of it. No season or serious talks by next week I'll return that for $30 bucks.

Borderlands 2 is one of the funnest games Ive played this year. not dead island fun (not for me) but close. cant wait of for the expansions

holy crap level 30. Class Commando. I love that this games enemies raise levels with you. its VERY tough right now.

3 things you need

1. A tough shield - something that gives extra health or is a higher charge and dispenses a blast after it depletes
2. A fast rifle - something that does explosive damage or if you cant get one that shoots fast enough settle for fast fire and high damage
3. A Sniper Rifle - thin out the herd before going in to pick up the big boys with heavier weapons. HEADSHOT

Bonus idea - when adding to your skill tree make sure you toughen your character first then your turret. the turret can save your life when in trouble you drop it and they mostly focus on it.

no I have not picked up RE6. I will wait until early 2013 when the price comes down. I should have done that with Duke Nuke 'Em (ooof that was terrible)

I am getting NHL 13 from a friend at EA Sports for $20. Ill wait for that. I barely played NHL12 as I got it same time as Dead Island...... poor NHL 12 never stood a chance

lol, sounds cool. Borderlands 2 has lost me... Not digging it now, lol. I'm more of an online RPG guy, though i don't want to get into those again.

Honestly, as sad as it sounds, games like WoW and Guild Wars are my type of games... But I can't play those ever again.

Yep. But it is a pretty epic escape. Ugh, doing those dungeon runs and raids in WoW was fun.

I just picked it up yesterday. I only got to play it for about an hour or so. It's MUCH better than Operation Raccoon City, but that's like saying a cockroach tastes better than a piece of crap. The aiming/shooting is pretty easy to pick up and I like the fact that you can walk while aiming/shooting (couldn't in RE4, can't remember for some reason about RE5). It's a lot faster pace than the rest of the RE Series (although 5 is pretty close). A lot of the times you can stop and investigate rooms, but this just seems to want you to keep moving and shoot/acquire items on the run. Overall, I wasn't hugely impressed, but I wasn't bummed either. Operation Raccoon City may have helped temper my enthusiasm though. I'll let you know more as I play more. One thing I would recommend though is seeing if you have friends/online friends who are good gamers that you can link up with. If you start a mission and allow people to join in, you're at the mercy of whether they suck or are expert gamers or anything in-between.

borderlands 2 looks amazing but not 60$ amazing. i'm cheap. besides im still working on the dlcs of the first one

resident evil 6 looks alright. the mixed reviews mean i wont be buying until it drops in price. if i can get it cheap used and it turns out half as good as 4, then i'll be happy.

the 2 games im most excited about are bioshock infinite and dishonored. oh and simcity 5 because im a strategy nerd an simcity started that.

but to kill time between them and the end of the lockout, im indulging in the assassins creed series and shogun 2. neither are new, but im playing them for the first time.

oh and to anyone that says they like ea's nhl video games on an nhl message board... no shit haha.
