Yep def Canadian.

I guess excessive rain is a real threat around that time? Is September drier usually?

Things go grey maybe mid oct. Sept usually stays warm-ish

Btw That hike u mentioned is on cypress mtn so its super easy to get to either by car (park at cypress lot) or transit (connect in west van)

Hopefully, the smoky air/haze will be better in Sept/October. It's really bad on Vancouver Island today.

We saw the last remnants of the rattlesnake island fire burning itself out from the boat yesterday in kelowna. Same area as okanagan park fire in 2003 so not much to burn and no houses to protect. No resources wasted on trying to put it out.

Mid-September to early October is generally the best time to see Vancouver. As previously mentioned; November is kinda looking for trouble in terms of outdoor activity not involving rain.

saturday was a pretty vancouver day for our sports teams

Lions down by 1 late in the 4th, just need to get to field goal range
get a gift of a turnover to extend the drive, plenty of time left.
Manny uncharacteristically drops the rock, for the loss

Whietcaps up 2-1 with about 10 minutes left, NYRB player gets a second yellow
Down to 10 men, time to steer this one home.
nope, NY scores on a set piece in the final minute

Oh, and anything is no longer Pospisil at the Van Open
knocked out by a qualifier in the quarters.

bring on hockey! high five!

We’re at 176 and I have to play soccer tomorrow evening. Hoping for some wind to blow this over to Alberta.

Last week, among the thousands of urban areas in 85 countries around the world, Edmonton had the worst air quality in cities with more than 250,000 people.

The culprit was drifting smoke from the B.C. wildfires.

According to Berkeley Earth's air quality data, Edmonton beat out cities in India, China and the Middle East, places where cities with poor air quality usually top the list.

At its peak, the city's air quality was about 180 micrograms per cubic metre, about 18 times higher than its average.

So people in Edmonton are so fucked up because BC wildfires keep toxifying their brains?

They should retaliate by firing a bitumen cannon at Whistler.
