This is quite the big deal in our next of the woods. The spot for maximum viewing is about 20 miles away. We will only have a total eclipse for like 45 seconds here.

Schools here are all closing for the day. Worried about lawsuits if Junior is "in the care of" the school and stares at the eclipse. But its all good, to ensure the schools get their max $$ from the State, they are cancelling the Presidents Day holiday next Feb.
