I can't think of a better way to do that besides strapping a tire on a woman, and using 4 planes with cameras on them to film it in an emergency situation. I mean it's not like the plane could have taken off with only one wheel, it clearly fell off in flight, and they were lucky enough to catch it and give it to her to put back on.

Seriously you would think rule number one of doing any work on gas tank is to make sure there is no fuel or fumes associated with the tank still around.

Also, normally if you have a gas leak, outside drunk old uncles like this guy (RIP), they would just replace the tank.
