That was a bit before my time watching hockey. Was he that useless? With the name alone I would have figured he would have stuck around for a while.

Oh well, he was a Trasher.
Yeah, he was drafted by Tampa back when they were in the PR game. (Manon Rheaume as well).

He was a marginal ECHL player, and he was better than the other brother Keith.

Amazing how ALL the talent went to one guy.
Unlike the Sutters, who were mostly all the same player.

Kind of like Mario and Alain Lemieux.

I guess Alain can say something Mario never could is that he scored more goals in Roller Hockey International than his brother.

I posted this a while ago, but the Flames always seem to get the less talented brother:

Rob instead of Scott Niedermayer
Valeri instead of Pavel Bure
Michael instead of Mark Stone

And let’s not forget Sutters. Not from a coaching perspective but player wise and as the whole family tree the Flames had AHL legend Brett.

Positive side the Flames had the better Mullen.

Probably would have been better trying to get Gilbert Perreault.
I mean looking at that 1990 draft, and to the defense of Calgary wasn't a bastion of great defencemen taken after that pick.
The only exception was Sergei Zubov, who I might add the Penguins traded away for Kevin Hatcher. :L

Yeah, you can't afford to miss on your 1st and 2nd round picks as it will haunt your team for years especially in these days with the hard cap where it's difficult to make trades. That said, the trade the Flames made with Carolina sending Hamilton, Ferland, and Fox to the Hurricanes for Lindholm and Hanifin has worked out very well for Calgary. It was tough to trade away Fox, but he was only going to sign with the Rangers (as Carolina found out later).

Man the players we missed out on wow
Yeah hindsight Trevor Kidd over Brodeur really stings and the fact their picks were swapped in a pre draft deal.

Amazing 1/3 of that first round all played on the Penguins at one point.
Nedved
Jagr (obviously)
Sydor
Slaney
Berehowsky
Antoski
Smolinski

lol Habs too...I guess they got tired of losing the brother drafting battle so they threw in the towel and drafted both Kostitsyn brothers.
